About Us

Dorris began his career in the fourth grade wanting to be an undertaker. In high school he began to work around the local funeral homes in Hopkinsville, the first being Fuqua-Hinton, and later, Henniger Funeral Home. After college he started working for Henniger Funeral Home. After Henniger sold out, he returned to Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home as the Manager.

Tammy also began working at Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home and later became the office manager there. Hereafter, Fuqua-Hinton sold the funeral home to an out-of-state corporation which led to Dorris and Tammy’s decision to leave and start working on establishing their own Funeral Home. Consequently, Lamb Funeral Home was established in 1996, opening it’s doors to the public in September of 1997.
